Adding Your Own Video to Your Post
In addition to the hundreds of existing customizable training videos, you can add your own videos or a training element to a training post as well.
Simply click "My Profile" in the top right corner and choose "My Training" from the drop-down menu. Click on "Create Element," fill out the form, and add the embed code. From here, you will be able to add the link from a video that has been uploaded to YouTube or Vimeo and use them in your training posts or training elements. There are instructions for uploading a video to YouTube and Vimeo below.
Uploading a Video to YouTube
- Go to YouTube.
- Sign into your account (if you don't have an account you can create a free one).
- Select the "Upload" link at the top of the page.
- Select the video you would like to upload, or you can record a video using your webcam.
- Choose "Share," then "Embed," and copy the link from the YouTube video.
Uploading a Video to Vimeo
- Go to Vimeo.
- Sign into your account (if you don't have an account you can create a free one).
- Select the "Upload" link at the top of the page.
- Select the video you would like to upload.
- Choose the "share video" option and copy the link.
Embed the Video into your Training Post
- While editing a training post in RightNow Media @ Work, go to media elements and drag a video player into your post.
- Finally, paste the link from YouTube into the field for "Embed YouTube, Vimeo or dotSUB video."
Embed the Video into a Training Element
- Click "My Profile" in the top right corner and choose "My Training" (only Owners/Admins will have this option).
- Choose the "Create Element" option on the left.
- Use the form to give the video a title, description, and to add the embed code from Vimeo/YouTube.
